Blue Mountains
Jamaica is a large island so it is often a day trip to get from one area to the next. For guests staying near Montego Bay, we recommend a day trip to the Blue Mountains on the east side of Jamaica. Home of the popular Jamaican blue coffee plantations, this area provides excellent hiking and scenery.
Dunn's River Falls

Dunn's River Falls is one of the most popular tourist spots on Jamaica. Visitors can climb 600 feet to the top of these natural waterfalls that sit west of Ocho Rios. Less adventurous travelers can just enjoy the cool waters at the bottom the the falls. Wear shoes to protect your feet and be careful when climbing the slippery rocks! Open daily, 8:30AM-5PM.

The Canopy Tour consists of a series of decks and platforms mounted in the trees of the forest. Your tour guide will assist you in using the high-angle equipment and techniques to move from platform to platform. Located 30 minutes outside of Montego Bay, Chukka Tours offers adventure tours for island guests. Jungle River Tubing is a fun way to enjoy a soft adventure. You will take a 4WD Jeep through the jungle to the river. Chukka's tour guides will show guests how to paddle and where to go while on the river. There is interesting commentary along the river highlighting a great deal of the River's natural beauty.

Guests are picked up in Montego Bay and are taken to Rose Hall Estate. Your adventure begins with a short safety and tour briefing, followed by a demonstration on the use of the bikes. Once everyone has been given their helmets and are comfortable having ridden in a practice ring, you start on a guided journey to the 700 feet above sea level to Mount Zion.Take a step back in time as expert guides show you the 150-year-old church and Johnny Cash's former house. Horseback riding is a fun way to see Jamaica. Guests will be given a brief orientation before mounting the horses, and novices and children are welcome. There is interesting commentary along the trail highlighting a great deal of Jamaica's beauty, culture, and history.
