Anguilla has many natural wonders, ranging from turtles and birds to natural reef systems. Leatherback, hawksbill and green turtles, which are endangered species, have all nested on Anguilla. The island also has over two dozen distinctive types of birds on the island. Bird watchers can visit the cliffs on the northern coast of Anguilla where there are many nesting spots. Other sea birds nest close to the shore within the dunes. The island offers two natural reef systems for water lovers to view the colorful sealife; one system along the coastline with soft corals and the other from the east end of the island to Prickly Pear with its hard corals.

While on Anguilla visitors will also see many salt ponds that dot the island. The Salt Industry was Anguilla's first major industrial activity that began in 1630. The mining and exportation of salt was one of the island's main sources of income for many centuries and continued until 1974 until the industry was no longer profitable.

Swim with the dolphins on Anguilla! The Dolphin Fantaseas interactive swim involves a half hour of up-close and personal playtime with dolphins. You'll begin your journey at the water's edge where our trainers will educate you about the dolphins, how they live and their marine environment. Then you'll dip into the water to feed and stroke the animals. Watch them dive and swim around you as you listen to their cheerful chatter. Those participating in the program also have the opportunity to swim, snorkel and feed the stingrays.
